A New Support Group
November 28, 2023Hi, I'm a software engineer in the Long Island are who, due to to a variety of reasons, made the mistake of drinking and driving and charged with DUI. There are many reaosons for why I did what I did. In the end I realized that I my relationship with alcohol and other coping mechanisms was troubled and a lot of that trouble began with some of the isolaiton that my work from home career had placed me in. I want to create a safe space for engineers in the Long Island area that are experiencing similar problems. Together, we can support each other in developing positive alcohol-free coping mechanisms for life stressors and in the tasks we've been assigned to repay our debt to society in the case of DUI charges.
